The technical norm FM4910 (FM = factory mutual) was developed by FM Global, one of the largest insurance companies for industrial and manufacturing plants worldwide. FM4910-certified materials feature a lower flame propagation (FPI: Fire Propagation Index) and a low smoke density (SDI: Smoke Density Index).
